The Power of Clear Structure in Winning Presentations
We’ve all seen a group of bunnies—adorable but elusive! Imagine trying to catch each bunny one by one, but they’re all darting in different directions. Is it even possible?
I’ll never forget the day everything shifted.
I had just finished speaking to a group of student-athletes—pouring into them about leadership, culture, character, and what it really takes to build a winning mindset. As the auditorium cleared out, a man walked straight toward me with purpose in his stride.
He introduced himself as the Senior Vice President of a Fortune 500 company.
Then he said something that shifted the trajectory of my career:
“Are you a professional speaker? You have a gift.”
I’d always been passionate about impact.
I’d always cared about the message.
But this moment made me pause, reflect, and evaluate the magnitude of what I carried.
He told me his daughter had attended an event I led earlier in the year, and she couldn’t stop talking about the way I taught and the way I connected. He had come to see it for himself.
Then he asked a question that changed the course of my career:
“Would you come speak to my executive team about the same principles you shared with the athletes—how to build and sustain a winning culture?”
In that moment, I realized something powerful:
Leadership principles don’t just live in the locker room.
They transcend the classroom, the boardroom, and every environment where people want to win.
He saw that.
He valued that.
And he trusted me to bring that message into a boardroom filled with decision-makers.
That opportunity became my first major speaking client—a Fortune 500 company I still serve as a consultant to this day.
All because someone recognized my gift before I recognized the full magnitude of it myself.
What if I told you that the voice you have…
The message you carry…
The experiences you’ve lived through…
The way you connect with people…
…is a gift.
A gift that could open doors.
A gift that could create impact.
A gift that could elevate your purpose and your influence—if you nurture it.
As I often say:
“Your message is someone else’s breakthrough. Don’t keep it wrapped.” — Marke Freeman
So the real question is:
How will you nurture your gift?
How will you maximize your impact?
And when will you give your voice the attention it deserves?
Before the holidays get busy…
Before life gets louder…
Before you talk yourself out of your calling…
This is your moment.

We’ve all seen a group of bunnies—adorable but elusive! Imagine trying to catch each bunny one by one, but they’re all darting in different directions. Is it even possible?

Last night, I found myself at a spoken word event, surrounded by a room full of creativity, courage, and raw talent. One by one, people stepped onto the stage to share their art — their truth — with the world.
And yet, as beautiful as the words were, something else was just as visible

Did you know the *average New Year’s resolution lasts just 12–19 days? Just two weeks into the new year, most people are already back to old habits. Why?

There is a major misconception in the speaking world:
A professional speaker is not simply someone who gets paid.
Payment is a result of professionalism — not the definition of it.
