
Land the Plane: Why Your Closing Determines If Your Message Sticks
Stop ending your message… and start finishing with purpose.
We’ve all seen a group of bunnies—adorable but elusive! Imagine trying to catch each bunny one by one, but they’re all darting in different directions. Is it even possible? Just like catching bunnies, trying to convey too many ideas at once can leave your audience overwhelmed—and nothing gets “caught” or remembered.
So, where do you start? Begin with the big picture. This means stepping back before diving into details. What’s your ultimate goal? What do you want your audience to think, feel, or do by the end? For instance, if you’re teaching a skill, the big picture is that they can confidently use it. If you’re inspiring action, the big picture is a tangible change in mindset or behavior.
Next, craft a call to action that resonates. Make your content relatable by connecting it to your audience’s daily life. For example, if you’re talking about productivity, relate it to a common struggle—like balancing work and personal life. Give them a clear next step: “Try this tip tomorrow morning, and see how it shifts your day.”
